How to get information on oracle server

With SYS_CONTEXT function you can display information on the server, network address, language, database name and on many other things.


SELECT SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','IP_ADDRESS')"IP address",
       SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','LANG') "Language",
       SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','DB_NAME') "Database name",
       SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','HOST') "Client",
       SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','OS_USER') "OS_USER" 
FROM DUAL;
